Fermented Pickles

Perfect as a snack, side dish, or a crunchy addition to your sandwiches, these fermented pickles are a delicious and healthy treat- and they’re so easy to make at home with only a handful of ingredients!
Ingredients
- (1 Gallon) Cucumbers, sliced
- (6 Cups) Water
- (2 Cups) Vinegar
- (1/3 Cup) Salt
- (1/2 tsp.) Turmeric (optional)
- 1 head dill or dill seed
- (2 cloves) Garlic
Directions
- Soak your cucumbers in ice cold water for 2 hours.
- Mix water, vinegar, salt, and turmeric.
- Bring to a roiling boil.
- Add cucumbers, 1 head of dill or dill seed, and 2 cloves garlic into gallon jar.
- Pour boiling water mixture over cucumbers.
- Cover with paper towel and secure with a rubber band.
- Let set on counter for 5-7 days, then refrigerate.
